2026 Phillips County Fair Queen – Ciara Peterson
Ciara Peterson is returning as the 2026 Phillips County Fair Queen. She is the daughter of Kyra and Glen Fricke. Ciara is 18 years old and a graduating senior at Holyoke High School. Once she is graduated she plans to go to Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture for Animal Science then transfer to the University of Wyoming for Veterinary Medicine. Ciara has a lot of passion for the agriculture and rodeo industry. Ciara is a kind hearted role model. She also deeply loves all animals and promotes animal agriculture. She is heavily involved in 4-H, serving as the President of her 4-H club, a Senator of the Phillips County 4-H Council, with projects in Leather Crafting and Horses. She strives to promote Phillips County Fair and Phillips County, as a whole. When she isn’t traveling around Colorado to different events and fairs you can find her baking, playing with her calves, or riding her horses. Her horse, Belle, is her partner in the arena. Belle is a 14 year old Thoroughbred. The bond between Belle and Ciara is very strong and unbreakable. As the 2026 Phillips County Fair Queen, it is Ciara’s mission to promote Phillips County Fair, promote the rodeo industry, and advocate for animal agriculture. Ciara is very thankful for everyone who has supported throughout her reign. Ciara also wants to give a big shout out to all of her sponsors.
The Phillips County Fairboard would like to extend a huge thank you to Brianna Brauer, Jes-C French, and the Holyoke Enterprise for photos used in this website!

A Letter from the Board
Dear Community Members:
Phillips County had a great fair in 2025. We could not have done it without the support of our commissioners, parents, families, and community. We look forward to 2026’s Phillips County Fair themed “Country Roads Take Me Home” and are ready to charge forward knowing that as a community we can do anything! We hope you save the date and enjoy the new additions to this year’s fair.
Gear up for Fair Week! Official events will start on Tuesday morning with the Horse Show in the pavilion and the Barrel Races in the grandstands. The Ranch Rodeo will return on Wednesday night with crowd favorites and the annual RMO Fry. Head down to the beer garden after the ranch rodeo and test your luck with goat roping. Thursday night includes a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy including the KidZone with sports-themed games as well as lawn mower tractor pull. Friday night a demolition derby is coming to town with MJ Entertainment keeping things rockin til midnight! Saturday we will host the parade and Jr. Livestock sale. Don’t forget to visit the Events Center to see all the projects on display and vendors for all to enjoy. Saturday night we are looking forward to our night show providing concert to be enjoyed by all!!!
Find updates and teasers on our Facebook page: Phillips County Fair, event and registration info in the fair book, AND the most up-to-date schedule, info, and online ticket sales on our website! Make sure you check out our website, phillipscountyfair.org which will offer a great resource for all attendees and a great advertising perk for our sponsors.
The fair simply would not be possible without the generous donations from all our supporters, at all levels. We would love to have all of you continue with your support, whether you sponsor the 4-H/FFA program, one of the bigger shows, or be a volunteer. Every bit helps and is appreciated more than we can say!
Please fill out and return the enclosed sponsorship form at your earliest convenience. Our first round of advertising is in early May, so don’t miss out. The Bank of Colorado Pavilion Sponsorship Program renewal will be available as well. We will have sponsors for the Livestock Show live stream. Last year the show was viewed by over 1,700 people live and even more later in the week as people had time to go back and watch what they missed live. There will be limited spots available, so get that reservation early! See the enclosed information for more details, or please call with questions.
If you have any questions or would be interested in volunteering during the fair, please contact one of your fair board members, call the Extension Office at (970) 854-3616, or contact our fair manager, Rebecca Van Pelt, via email at info@phillipscountyfair.org
We would like to thank all of you for your past donations. We are here because we want to make the best possible fair for our youth and community. We could not make this happen without all of you and your support!!!
Sincerely,
Phillips County Fair Board
